Developer Survey T-Shirts: An update

By December 15, 2011 Uncategorized No Comments

First, I’d like to say again how thankful we all are that so many developers took the time to fill out our Android Developer Survey. You guys and gals kick serious ass. We’ll be publishing a report with the survey results soon after the new year so keep an eye out for it!

About the t-shirts

Fun fact: 9 out of 10 scientists agree. Wearing an Apkudo t-shirt makes you 24% more attractive to the opposite sex.*

I’ve gotten a few emails, tweets, and strangely enough a homing pigeon – which I thought to be an antiquated, however effective, form of communication, but I digress – about the status of t-shirts. We’ve gotten so many responses (1,050!) that getting the shirts out is taking some time. Thanks to everyone for being so patient while we order more shirts and work to get them out. Feel free to reach out to me at kate@apkudo.com if you have any questions about your shirt in the meantime, but if it hasn’t reached you yet it will soon.

One of the other things people have been asking about is the T-Shirt Contest. I’d initially hoped we’d have it up and running by now, but since we haven’t finished shipping shirts the contest will be pushed back until we get them all out the door. Stay tuned for more updates about the deadline, but rest assured it won’t be for at least a few more weeks.

About the Apkudo T-Shirt Contest

Take a creative photo of yourself or someone/something wearing the Apkudo “Get Buzzed” t-shirt and send it to me at kate@apkudo.com with the subject line “T-Shirt Contest”. We will then post the photos on our Facebook page. The top 5 photos with the most “Likes” will make it to the “Finals” round, where the Apkudo judges will choose the best picture! The winner will receive a $50 American Express gift card (or a gift card of their choice of equal value). Here’s what the shirts look like to give you an idea:

The most important thing is to have fun with it! Get crazy – but not too crazy, folks. Think about the children!

Even if you don’t want to participate in the contest, it’d be cool to see photos of everyone rocking their “Get Buzzed” t-shirts, so please send them to me either way. Thanks, all…you’re the best.

*Unbelievable, right? But who am I to argue with scientists? I guess we’ll just have to take their word for it.
