The impetus for mmBuilder was to increase productivity from the in-house Creative Services department, while increasing overall stability through an updated, high performing code base. The team took a very agile approach starting with the simpliest and most previlant use case and iterating upon it. The end goal was to allow the Creative Services design team to tackle any rich media unit through the GUI and abandon older, build by hand methods.
Within three months 98% of the rich media creatives being launched from Millennial Media used mmBuilder, allowing for increased output of 150% during the busiest season while headcount remained consistent.
